1. What types of website cannot be included in Partners and Resources As the target audience of Travel and Holidays.co.uk is the family and small business user we cannot and will not accept any links to websites containing, but not limited to, illegal or unlawful content, explicit adult or pornographic content, or race-hate or political hate content. We also only require websites that have a main theme related to the travel, holiday, tourism, geographic and leisure industry. Please do not submit websites that are totally irrelevant to this. Repeated attempts by such sites will lead to that URL being banned from all group websites. If you are not sure if your website topic is suitable then contact our Links and Partners department first. 2. How do I add a website to the Partners and Resources area You can submit your website to the Links and Partners area by using the simple AddURL form found here. The main requirement, in addition for FAQ No. 1, is that you have already placed a return link on a suitable page on your website. Unrelated or detached directory pages, third party website pages or are not acceptable. 3. Is there a charge for a basic text listing There is no charge at the moment for a basic text listing providing a return link is already in place on a suitable page on your website. 4. Why are websites reviewed before listing We review all websites added to the Links and Partners area to ensure that they are safe and suitable for family and business users, and that a return link to us has been placed. 5. How long does it take until my website is shown Normally, links are added within a few working days but sometimes it may take a little longer to review your website. We aim to include all suitable sites within 5 working days at the most. Please be patient. 6. How long will my website link be shown for We set no time limit for showing basic text listings and reserve the right to delete and remove any link at any time. Our intention is to keep the Links and Partners area maintained and in full working order until such time as we may consider it necessary to make changes. We have no immediate intention of removing the Links and Partners area at the moment as we consider it to be a highly valuable asset to our website, and our family and business users. 7. How do I change my website details after they have been submitted You can change your website link details at any time by using the contact form here. Please make sure you select ‘Link Modification’ from the drop-down list and that all information you provide is correct. Please note that we do not permit repeated changes or excessive use of this service. 8. I cannot find my link or it is now missing If you cannot locate your link in the Links and Partners area then the initial listing may either be subject to delay or that the content of your website was found to be unsuitable for family or business users after review. If your link has previously appeared in Links and Partners and now cannot be found, it may have been removed following subsequent website review. Reasons can include, but are not limited to, unsuitable content or excessive site down-time. Please remember that all websites listed in Links and Partners are reviewed regularly. 9. Do you participate in Three-Way linking No. The prime purpose of the Links and Partners area is to provide added services and resources for our users - not S.E.O. If you wish Travel and Holidays.co.uk to link to your website then you must have a return link on the same website back to us. 10. Where do I place your link on my website The return link must be placed on a links or resources page no more than three levels down from your home page. This page must be linked to your home page or main website navigation area. 11. Where will my website listing be shown We place all links in the Links and Partners area on pages that relate to a single country. This may be either the country that you are based in or the main country that you service. This makes it much easier for users to find your website listing. Research has clearly shown that users look to a country or area then look for online services for that country. 12. Why must I give a valid email address when adding my website We need a valid email address so we can send confirmation when your link has been added. We may also need more information about your website or we may need to notify you if we have changed the location of your link.
